Description
Genesis 7:17–8:1 tells the story of Noah, shut inside an ark while rain fell for forty
days and floodwaters covered the earth for one hundred fifty more days after that. It was a strange and painful season—but it was not the end of Noah’s story. Genesis 8:1 gives us the turning point:
“But God remembered Noah.” Noah’s flood reminds us of three powerful truths:
Strange days have a deadline: However long the storm feels it is not endless—God has already set its limits.
God’s hand never lets go: Even in the middle of destruction, God was actively preserving and protecting Noah and his family.
Better days are coming: The flood didn’t just destroy—it lifted the ark higher than it had ever been before.
As we dive into our questions today, let’s reflect on the “strange days” we’ve walked through, or may be walking through right now, and remember what God has called us to endure—trusting that He has not forgotten us and that He is working even now to bring us to higher ground.
